  • “The in-kind services we won in Startup St. Bernard have been a HUGE support for us, just as valuable as the cash in many ways. Through the free accounting provided by Dean Martin and Bernard & Franks, our bookkeeper has built up her skills in QuickBooks Online, our accounts are reconciled, and we’re set up with the State and Parishes to collect and pay sales tax. Best of all, they’re helping us prepare our 2019 returns and save a ton on taxes!”

    — Schmelly's Dirt Farm, 2019 Startup St. Bernard winner of $40,000 in cash and over $43,000 in in-kind services

  • “Winning Startup St. Bernard is life-changing for us. We’re able to put the working capital and in-kind services to help our company grow.”

    — Kim Sawyers, co-founder of Clean Course Meals, 2018 Startup St. Bernard winner

  • “I would like to congratulate Reactive Digital Systems on winning Startup St. Bernard. Their product will further help position St. Bernard Parish as a leader in water education. The TopoBox is already helping students in the region understand the Mississippi River system and the role our coast plays in reducing storm surge. We’re proud that this technology will be built in St. Bernard Parish and exported around the world.”

    — Rita Gue, president of the Meraux Foundation, founding sponsor of Startup St. Bernard
